Health for All Partnership Clinic

From Vision to Impact

For Heidi and Frankie, HAP project leads and professors in Humber Polytechnic’s Nursing program, inspiration for this research project was sparked by a healthcare service trip to Guatemala. During this trip, Heidi and Frankie led a group of 4th year nursing students in conducting health assessments for people in under-served communities.

As the COVID-19 pandemic put strain on the healthcare system and its resources, the team drew inspiration from their experience in Guatemala. They sought to apply a similar approach in Toronto, focusing on communities with limited healthcare access.
