Our team is comprised of Humber Polytechnic nursing students and faculty, and members of the interdisciplinary health team who each bring their own interests in community health and advocacy. Together, the HAP team is committed to strengthening models of care that connect healthcare with social services. Learn more about our team below!
As registered nurses with a shared passion for health and social innovation, Heidi and Frankie are deeply committed to the HAP's potential to create meaningful change in the community. For them, this initiative reflects the very essence of the nursing profession, which is to help people. They believe that by keeping this purpose at the heart of the project, the clinic will be better positioned for long-term sustainability.
Humber Polytechnic’s senior undergraduate nursing students with a passion for community health and innovation were selected as research assistants throughout each phase of the project. Many have since become registered nurses and are pursuing postgraduate studies in similar fields. This unique experience allowed them to engage in knowledge translation and bridge research with health innovation projects.
